I am Persephone Johnson. That is not the name I was born with, but the name I have chosen, and in time, you will learn why. This is my story of transformation. My journey along a winding path that has taken me to places I never imagined. From depths so dark I’m surprised I survived to moments of enlightenment where I finally realized why. The life I am living is nothing my younger self would have wished for or imagined—this is not the life I ordered. But I see now that this is the life I was always meant to live. This is the journey I was meant to experience. The person I was before needed to crumble completely and burn in a fire of her own making so that she could transform into who she was always meant to be.
Everything you will read in this blog is true. All of the names have been changed—including mine—to protect both the innocent and the guilty.
There is one caveat to this tale. As I am still in the midst of my transformation—still experiencing the journey of my personal revolution—I do not yet know how this story will end. You, dear reader, will find out what’s at the end of this long and winding road when I do. Welcome to the journey.
